Key Account Manager

Consumer Category, Citywest/Dublin location, Hybrid working 

Role Profile

This role reports into the Senior Account Manager and sits within the Retail & Wholesale group as part of the Consumer category. The successful candidate will manage accounts within the consumer category, enhancing customer satisfaction while managing their own customer set. You will manage the contracting and execution of budgeted sales volumes & margin achievement, development of new opportunities for value adding and commercialisation across a portfolio of accounts.


  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, working with internal stakeholders to bring the agreed value proposition and service level to customers, and efficiently meet customer and consumer needs
  • Manage and develop the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives in line with our growth strategy
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner in line with orders and agreed delivery terms; with a key focus on value added milk
  • Represent the customer in Tirlán and guide the business to see the perspective of the customer
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams, ensuring the agreed level of service is delivered
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to management using key account metrics
  • Ensure that key customers have access to appropriate stock levels to meet additional demand generated by promotions
  • Management of full brand portfolio which includes management of promotion planning and execution to achieve both volume & margin targets
  • Understand the implications of actions and be aware of setting precedents


  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Solid understanding of customer categories within domestic and international markets
  • Negotiation & conflict management
  • Drivers licence / access to vehicle essential
  • Irish retail experience essential
