Supply Chain Specialist

On behalf of their Client, Kenny-Whelan & Associates are hiring a Supply Chain Specialist for a Global Life Sciences Company in Cork. 

Profile of the Role: 

This role sits between the Project Engineering Team and the Supply Chain Team and liaising between both.

Duties

 Represents the Supply Chain Group cross functionally, working closely with the Project Engineering Team  

•    Identify risks and create a working plan to prevent potential issues.

•    Identifies and supports process improvement efforts.

•    Works on problems ranging from semi routine to moderately complex in scope, where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of various factors, good judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

•    Exercises judgment within well-defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Experience / Education:

 Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management 

 Business Studies with Supply Chain qualification 

 Advanced certificate in Purchasing and Materials Management desired

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally coming from a Pharmaceutical Packaging Site 

• Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Knowledge:

•    Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and working knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidance documents.

•    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

•    Strong computer, organizational, and project management skills.

•    Able to work independently.

•    Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.

Hybrid role.
