Project/Process Engineer – Multiple Roles available (Cork and Limerick based)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Cork and Limerick. Working within a multidisciplinary capital projects team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of engineering projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-value capital projects within one of Ireland’s most advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of capital projects across manufacturing, utilities and site infrastructure.
Manage projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including:
Concept development
Feasibility studies
Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
Detailed design
Procurement
Construction
Commissioning and Qualification
Project close-out
Prepare project scopes, specifications, schedules and budgets.
Coordinate internal stakeholders including Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Validation and EHS.
Manage external engineering consultants, contractors and equipment vendors.
Ensure projects comply with GMP, GDP and site engineering standards.
Support equipment installation, FAT, SAT, commissioning and qualification activities.
Manage project risks, change control and issue resolution.
Monitor project progress against scope, cost and schedule.
Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with company safety standards and applicable legislation.
Prepare regular project status reports for senior management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
3–8+ years’ project engineering experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or regulated manufacturing industry.
Experience delivering capital engineering projects in a GMP environment.
Strong understanding of engineering design, construction and commissioning activities.
Knowledge of project management methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Desirable Experience
Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
Experience working with cleanrooms and GMP manufacturing facilities.
Knowledge of validation and qualification requirements.
Experience with utilities including HVAC, Clean Utilities, WFI, Clean Steam and Process Systems.
Familiarity with EHS regulations and permit-to-work systems.
